Looking for remote C# / .NET work.
I ship parsers, language tools, and careful backend code. I am not looking for customer-facing or high-meeting roles.
I have been a professional programmer since the late 1990s: electrical engineering degree (1997), then C++ and C# / .NET, including time on the Microsoft Visual Studio team and later database-performance work. I prefer hard problems with a small surface area — lexers, parsers, immutable data structures, SQL Server — over framework churn.
What I actually build
- LexerGen — lexical analyzer generator (Dragon Book algorithms, runtime tables, NuGet:
Sunlighter.LexerGenLib). - LrParserGen — LR(1) parser generator; grammar from reflection.
- TypeTraitsLib — composable comparison, hashing, and serialization traits.
- FrayedKnot — ropes with line indexing for large text (
Sunlighter.FrayedKnoton NuGet). - AsyncQueues — async producer/consumer queues in C#.
- SimpleForth — a small Forth in C#.
Full account: github.com/Sunlighter. I am also writing Writing Parsers, a how-to on C# parser combinators, to be published in progress on Leanpub.
Hire me for
- C# / .NET backend, tools, or legacy systems that still have to be correct
- Parsers, DSLs, compilers front-ends, awkward file formats
- SQL Server / SQLite performance and careful data work
- Small-team remote work where written explanation replaces meetings
